Aged to Perfection
1911 Established Distillery Dinner & Cocktail Debut
Join us for an unforgettable evening of bold flavors and smooth sips at Aged to Perfection, a five-course dining experience paired with the finest spirits from 1911 Established Distillery. Each course is expertly crafted to complement handcrafted cocktails and pours, highlighting the depth and character of 1911’s renowned spirits. To end the evening, guests will receive a take-home of our signature cocktail—or a little hair of the dog, a fitting nod to the spirited traditions of the 1920s.
Centennial Celebration
A Gala Honoring 100 Years of Colgate Inn
Step back in time and raise a glass to 100 years of hospitality at the historic Colgate Inn. This black-tie gala features vintage-inspired cocktails, elevated hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment, all set within the timeless charm of the Inn. Guests will enjoy a festive evening of dancing in the Ballroom, culinary stations inspired by classic favorites, and sweet endings with dessert, coffee, and a variety of celebratory sips.
1804
Built by Elisha Payne, The Park House opened its doors at the intersection of Broad and Lebanon Streets. It stood for over a century, surviving the Great Fire of 1895 that greatly damaged the town of Hamilton.
1925
The Dutch-colonial style Colgate Inn was opened, replacing the Park House in the center of the historic village of Hamilton.
1973
Under the direction of Colgate University, the Inn was purchased by Colgate Inn LLC. The hotel has been a fundamental part Hamilton, providing a true local experience.
2003
The Tap Room—formerly The Payne Street Corner and the Salmagundi Bar & Restaurant—was renovated to provide top-notch service to guests and the community.
2010
The hotel underwent a complete renovation that included guest rooms, dining and banquet spaces, the patio area, meeting rooms, and The Tavern.
2018
The parlor, meeting spaces, and lobby received a massive renovation in order to paint a welcoming and lasting first impression to guests of the hotel.
2024
Balancing tradition with modern comfort, the Inn’s rooms were refreshed to artfully blend contemporary design with enduring elegance for a comforting night’s stay.
